The most scary news (for me, I'm different) of the last month:
Certain Polish cosmologists after calculations came to conclusion that probably cosmos is finite and it has a shape of dodecahedron.
I prefer feeling alone in infinity, than like an animal in a very big, but still a cage.
Either way, I'm exagerrating.
Read more about it in [PL].

I can't help recalling all those SF stories.
Didn't Plato say the dodecahedron symbolized the universe? *amused chuckle in a tlttlotdish manner*

It's even worse, because I don't like Plato ;)

Now, if the universe is finite, then it's a system. It would be wonderful to know all the rules that govern it. We can finally know everything! I'm particularly fond of that idea as I think that even now it's not possible to digest all available knowledge. What if there were no limits to cognition? It would be futile to even try to comprehend anything.

It's fun, it saves time :P
So...bye? ;P
We can finally know everything!
Not a chance. Even with assumption that despite perceptive limitations, people can use machines etc., there are other, more important things. Scientifical enthusiasm was blunted enough with Heisenberg's uncertainty principle.
I don't like the idea, but not because it's impossible to know everything.
It would be terrible (at least for some people) if there wouldn't be possibility of discovering something new.
