Blast From The Past

I drove to Cincinnati once we landed from Florida to see my folks. Once a week I drive up there to spend time with them anyway, but this week was the post-Nationals lunch-that-stretches-into-dinner trip. My mother has the best sufganiyot in the world.

Seemed that dad had finally gotten around to cleaning the garage, and had found several tapes of my performances from childhood to right before I got the coaching job for VA.

Apparently I promised some of my VA kids that I would show them my own high school performances, so I took a bunch of videos. One of my summers during my high school existence, I ended up attending a workshop that led to a production of Wicked the Musical.

I got the part of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch, and the good witch, Galinda, was played by none other than McKinley's own Drunky-Two-Shoes April Rhodes. Yes, April and I know each other from waaay back.

That being said, here's the song that I still say is the main reason they gave us those roles. We were just reading, but we got carried away, and it turned into something good apparently.
