a few thoughts...

As C and I were bonding over schnitzel the other night, we covered some key topics. The convo probably led to more questions than answers (which I am all for), but here's some of the things we agreed on:

* You need to learn how to deal with "let downs" so that every little wind that comes by can't threaten to tear everything apart.

* Often it is easier to have faith for someone else than it is to have faith for yourself. That's why it's key to step up and have faith and confidence for other people when they feel like they can't muster it up on their own.

* It's easy to despair when you see disappointing patterns in your life repeating themselves. But there's a fighting spirit that starts to rise up and say "I'm not going to accept that this is it." This isn't the end of my story and it isn't the final say on things. Therefore, I am cheating myself by sitting around and sulking in self-pity.

* It is important not to make ourselves so busy out of fear of facing ourselves and our actual lives.

Have lots more to say (in a tizzy of thought this morning I wrote like 12 pages), but I don't want it to get too long. So maybe tomorrow, eh? Hope I'm not sounding preachy. Just some things I'm in the process of figuring out so I thought I'd throw them out there....
