however the general steps are that you're going to rip the DVD into the component files - the chapter video files and subtitle information etc etc. then youre going to find the correct chapter and using a different program, slice that into it's component video and audio files. from there you can take the audio tracks.
I did this once in 2001. its possible but I dont know the exact steps or programs anymore. Google ripping dvds, Ripping audio from DVDs, ripping Audio from dvd files, etc etc etc
the other, lower tech option is to use some kind of external recording device and - either form the computer or outside of it, and play the DVD and record the track that way.
