Criteria were adult SF titles only (no fantasy or YA) published before 2000. Original instructions were to bold those I've read and italicize those I own but haven't read yet [I'm just going to use italics for books I want to read, even if I don't own it yet]; I added underlining for authors who have written other books I've read and notes on the bold and underlined items.

The Crystal Singer, Anne McCaffrey (1982) -- agreed with phoenixfalls that McCaffrey has most definitely been visited by the Suck Fairy since I discovered her as a preteen, but every once in a while I can't seem to resist dipping back in for nostalgia's sake. I liked the sequel to this one, Killashandra, better than the first. I think I still have a copy sitting on my bookshelf.

I've loved all of Cherryh's other SF that I've read, though I was less impressed with her fantasy (Morgaine Saga left me cold). I'll probably finish the Foreigner series before I move on to any of her other work, but this is on the ever-growing list.

71. Ammonite, Nicola Griffith (1993) -- Read it last year, and really enjoyed it, though I had a hard time suspending disbelief for certain aspects of the worldbuilding. I'll definitely read more by Griffith, though.

80. Memory [Vorkosigan series], Lois McMaster Bujold (1996). -- Agreed with phoenixfalls that this is the best of the Vorkosigan books, which are ALL good fun!
81. Remnant Population, Elizabeth Moon (1996) --the only book of hers I've read is The Speed of Dark, but I loved it and will definitely keep an eye out for more of hers.
