Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day! We're having the parents over for a meal
Bob's up on the highway, he's on duty with the local fire department and he's at a fatal accident about a mile from our house. I don't know when he'll be home - dinner will be pushed back. Someones Father's Day has come to a sad ending.
I've had a fun and fattening several days. First on Thursday, it was the library's potluck luncheon farewell for our boss Jane. (sideline - doesn't it seem kinda of cheap - I mean a department head is leaving and we have a potluck lunch!)
Then on Friday, all of the Children's Room staff and a few of the more fun library staff (the Children's Room staff is fun by definition) got together at a local bar for a few adult beverages and sandwiches to toast Jane again. It was a lot of fun.
Saturday, saw a picnic at our nephew's house - a combination housewarming,2nd anniversary and baby welcoming party. Lots of fun, food and assorted adult beverages. Lots of cute state cops and about 5 babies all about 3-8 months old. What a difference from other parties at the same location. This one was very family oriented and I think they had a lot of beer left over.
My sister-in-law and her youngest two sons( 12 year old twins) are here until tomorrow - so it has been hectic.
