I haven't played OoT, but I have played MM (Majora's Mask) and I thought it was a pretty good port. At least it lets me play the game after my brother lost our N64 copy. I will say, they didn't bother to change any of the button icons, so the c-buttons map kind of haphazardly to the pad. It takes a bit of fussing, and you'll still hit the wrong button sometimes, but it's not TOO difficult a game in the first place, so it doesn't keep you from being able to play at all.

If you can get a controller with proper key-mapping then go with a PC emulator, if not, then go with the wii port. It's a very reasonable price and generally a good port.

Oh, good; MM was another one I was really looking forward to. If you don't mind me asking, what controller did you use? (If what I've read is correct, you can use the N64 controller, or the Wii's "classic controller".)

I used the classic controller. Not familiar with a method that allows you to plug in an N64 controller. The classic controller bears very little resemblance to N64 but looks a lot like an SNES controller, in case you haven't seen it.

and MM is FANTASTIC. In some ways, I think it's even better than OoT (but you should still play OoT first). They go a LOT more in depth into characterizing people, not just the history of the world. But there's no Sheik, so I guess it's automatically disqualified from the running for best XD. I REALLY wish they'd bring him back, he's such a COOL character... change his backstory, whatever, he's awesome... and SMEXY XP

Maybe I read it wrong and it's the GameCube controller? (I've been to so many different sites and they all say something different.) If I do get the Wii, I would get their Classic too, since that plays most-if-not-all of the Virtual Console games.

And we can always hope for more Sheik!

AH yeah. I think it was a gamecube controller, which I don't think works to play anything except gamecube games...
