According to PikminLink's face book Sheik has been confirmed as male. For those of you with Facebook accounts, her post is here.
The gender debate over Sheik can finally be put to rest! The Official Japanese Ocarina of Time website states that Sheik is a "mysterious young man". I don't care what is stated in the US versions of the guides for Smash Bros, etc (Even tho in the US guide book for Ocarina of Time they say Sheik is male). Japan is where he was created. I've always stood by Sheik being a "male" illusion. Yes, Sheik is Zelda but that does not make Sheik a female. Magical disguise and no, there is no binding going on, popping in red contacts, changing her hair and clothes. It's a flash of light because it all magic. Magic to change her appearance into the opposite gender. Great way to hide for 7 years if I might add.
I've even tried to go further in discussing his body features. He does not have a female body and his body varies a lot from Zelda's. What upsets me the most is that most of the time I am accused of being a LinkxSheik yaoi fan just because I believe Sheik to be male. That is ridiculous. I'm sorry. =\

NOJ confirmed that he is male. It's settled. Even though it's been confirmed multiple times people still refused to believe it. One example is:Ruto (water temple Oot) says "A young man named Sheik saved me from under the ice.."
I've always wanted to write up something where I state my stance on Sheiks gender. I can go on much longer than this. But I will leave it here because it doesn't need to be explained anymore now that we have official confirmation. If you don't agree, we can put our different opinions to the side :3 (everyone is entitled to their own opinion) but this is official confirmation.
