“What?! I don’t want to! Are you out of your mind?!” I said angrily at my sister.

“Please, Tatsu! I don’t want to marry him! For God’s sake, he is a midget! I’m taller than him! It’s like in Shrek where Fiona has to marry that short prince!” She said unbelievably and lowered her voice “Plus, you know my situation”

I glare at her “It’s a crazy idea and I don’t want to dress as a girl!”

“You don’t have to! I will run away and knowing dad, he won’t cancel the wedding no matter what because he won’t jeopardize the company so you could just step up and offer to marry that chibi and we would all be happy!” She said happily as if that was the most brilliant plan on the Earth.

I kicked her in the shin.

“Ouch!!!!!!” She yelled while glaring at me and rubbing her shin.

“Okay, there are many holes in that story! First, dad would kill me. Second, there’s no way I would step up and marry him. Third, dad doesn’t know I’m gay. Forth, who’s to say that he is gay?? Fifth, the guy’s parents would so not allow this. Sixth, mom will have a heart attack with her daughter disappearing and lastly, I don’t want to!!”

She pouted and showed her puppy eyes but I just glared at her. Cute things doesn’t work on me especially if the cute thing is coming from my sister.

She pouted harder “Please!!!!!!!! I’ll do anything you want! I can’t marry him!!!”

I sighed “Why don’t you just tell dad the truth?”

She looked at me as if I was crazy “Are you kidding me? He would grab a rusty bread knife and slowly cut my head from my body!”

I grinned “That would be a bad sight to see”

Then she was the one who kicked me in the shin.

“Come on Tatsu! Please!”

“Fine!” I said and her face lights up but I continued “But with some conditions” He face fell.

“What is it?
“You have to buy me three new guitars, two new amplifiers, a new sandbag and some new boxing gloves” I grinned as her expression turns to horrified.

“Do know how much that cost?!”

My grinned got wider “Take it or leave it” and put out my right hand. She sighed and shook my hand.

“But what does he looks like? I never met him” I said.

She just shrugged and said “If you see a short black haired guy with a big nose, that’s him” I let out a disgusted face. The way my sister describe him, it sounds like he is very ugly. I began to have second thoughts but a deal is a deal.

---

Walking Eri to the park. That’s my most favorite thing to do. I love animals and I’m currently getting my veterinarian license. I want to be a veterinarian ever since I was a kid. When I first got Emily. Which is Eri’s mother.

I threw the Frisbee and Eri would catch it and bring it back to me. I threw it again and this time, it went too far away and hit a guy reading a book on the head and made him fall to the ground.

“Oh my god! I’m so sorry” I said as I rush over to him while Eri just went after the Frisbee.

“Ugh… It’s okay. You didn’t do it on purpose” That guy said as he rubbed his head.

“I’m really sorry” I said again and helped him up.

“It’s really okay” He said as he picked up his book, turned around and smiled at me. My breath was stuck in my throat. He was very handsome. Strong jaw, beautiful lips, adorable nose, raven hair and deep, black eyes.

“Are you sure? If you want, you could throw it at my head too to get even” I joked and he burst out laughing.

“You are interesting!” He said.

I smiled and looked at the book in his hands ‘Steps to a horrible arranged marriage’ was the title. I raised my eyebrows at him. He looks at where my eye landed and let out a small laugh.

“Oh, this? My parents set me up on an arranged marriage and I don’t want it to succeed” I just nodded and smiled a bit. Books like that exist. I never knew. I should just buy my sister one and this thing will be over.

“Why don’t you want it? She’s ugly? Like someone else?” I asked.

“Nope. Something else.” I just nodded.

“Well, time for me to go home. Bye and I’m really sorry”

He smiled “It’s okay. Bye” And then we parted ways. I thought that was the last time I would see him but I was dead wrong.

---

I nervously sat in my parent’s living room as my mother is crying her eyes out and my dad is saying all the curse words he knows. They found a little from my sister that says she ran away. The letter contain this

Dear mom and dad,
I ran away.
Sorry.
Don’t want the marriage.
Sincerely with hate for the marriage,
Utau.

And I only have one word for my sister’s letter. Balls. She got balls for writing a letter like that. She really wants dad to cut her head off.

“What are we going to do?” My mother said hysterically. “Our baby daughter is gone!”

Dad grunted “I know! And what the **** are we gonna do about the wedding!!!!” The suddenly he stopped in his track and turn to face me. He pointed a finger at me and said “You’re gonna marry him.” Well, it seems like my sister idea is coming true after all.

---

I sat on the couch of the room where I’m supposed to meet my future-to-be husband. I’m surprised that the other party agreed to this. Dad was nervously waiting while cursing Utau in his mind. Mom was just sad with the disappearance of Utau. I sighed. Why my sister want to do this? It would be a lot easier if she just told the truth.

I heard footsteps and then, the door opened. Stepped in a beautiful middle-age couple who look good for forty-year-olds. Then behind them, was a guy and might a say, a handsome one at that. Then I took a good look at him, he somehow looked familiar but I can’t seem to remember where I have seen him…

“Nishikido-san, thank you so much for agreeing to my selfish request” Dad said and he bowed.

The father of the guy sighed “I guess this is better. I knew that my son is gay so it might be better for him to marry your son”

“Again, I’m so sorry” And dad bowed again.

“Now, let us give these two boys sometime to talk to each other.” Mrs. Nishikido said and then they all left the room leaving me with the guy.

“So…” I said and the guy just stood there staring at me. “Why don’t you first take a seat?” He nodded and took a seat in front of me. Then, there was uncomfortable silence.

I sighed. Why won’t this guy talk? It’s getting pretty boring. I noticed he was staring at me so I did the same. I took in his features and yes, it did seem very familiar.

“Umm…” He said.

“Yes?”

“Have we met before? You seem very familiar...” Huh, so it wasn’t just my imagination. Then it hit me, well actually I remember me hitting him in the head.

“Ah! The guy from the park with the ‘Steps to a horrible arranged marriage’ book”

Recognition passed by his eyes “Yes! I remember. You’re he guy in the park with the Frisbee.”

I laughed “Yeah, sorry about that again.”

“It’s okay”

“So, let us get to know each other. I’m Ueda Tatsuya. You?”

“Nishikido Ryo. How old are you?”

“I’m turning 28 on 4th October. You?”

“27th on November”

He’s younger than me “So we’re a year apart.”

He just nodded. I sighed again.

“Okay, let us cut to the chase. I know you don’t want this marriage and neither do I so let just work together to call it off?”

He was surprised. Then I saw he hesitated. I wonder why…

“Maybe…”

I tilted my head a bit to the left “Why maybe? You want this marriage?”

He sighed “Okay, let me be frank. I need this marriage actually…”

My face was a question mark “But in the park with the book?”

He sighed and leaned back on the couch “That was because my partner was a girl. But now that it’s a boy…”

“So just because I’m a guy, you want to marry me?”

“It’s more than that… My mother wants me to be married when I was 25 years old but then, I confessed that I’m gay, I got into a huge fight with my dad and I disappeared for a year. My mom cried a lot and it still pains me to think about it. She wants granddaughters. It was her dream ever since she was a little girl to have a daughter and unfortunately I’m a boy and an only child. I don’t want a wife and my mom respects that but she begged me to even just meet Ueda Utau so I did but I felt nothing towards her, in fact I found her a bit annoying. But then when Ueda-san asked that I marry his son instead, I saw hope in my mother’s eyes.” He took a deep breath “So please, will I do to be your husband? I don’t want to disappoint my mother and for children, we could adopt?”

I stared at him with an expressionless face. This was really a personal thing and how did he get the courage to tell a stranger about this? I stared into his eyes and saw the determination and honesty in it. He was really nice, to do all this for his mother. Unlike my sister…

“Sure” Was my answer. He looked up at me in surprise.

“What?”

“I said sure. I’ll marry you. To be honest, I’m gay too and my parent’s don’t know it and this will be the best way to tell them by not telling them” I grin.

He looked at me like I was nuts.

“What’s that look for?” I asked

“You’re weird! I can’t believe you agreed to this” He said unbelievably.

I raised my eyebrow “Want me to take back my word?”

“No! Sorry about that”

“It’s okay, now, let’s go!” I said and stood up. He followed my actions but he was still clueless. I grin widely “I’m hungry so let’s go to a restaurant!” Then I took his hand and dragged him to my car.

---

He was like the perfect guy I could ever find. Nishikido Ryo, I had the most wonderful day of my life with him. He was funny, smart, and attractive with a bit of a big ego. We spent the day at the restaurant, talking about many things, even though we just met, I told him everything. Even my most humiliating moments and he did the same to me.

Slowly, I realized that I could fall in love with him. It wasn’t hard; he was a very likable person. We got out of the restaurant with our hands intertwined. We walked to the park, where we first met. We sat on the bench that he was sitting last time and just looked at the dark sky above. It was a full moon. It a shame that there were no stars.

While I was looking above, I didn’t notice he was looking at me. I turned my face to him and looked into his eyes. I saw love. Love was reflected in his eyes. We stared into each other and I could see him leaning in. We didn’t close our eyes until our lips met. It was a soft and sweet one. With no tongue.

He pulled back and cupped my face with his hands. He caressed my face, touch my temple, forehead, eyebrow, eyelid, nose and finally, his finger stopped and my lips. He moved his finger across my bottom lip and just, feel it. He finally let go and kissed me again, this time, hard.

We pulled apart for air. He rested his forehead on top of mine. We just stared into each other’s eyes again.

“I wasn’t completely honest with you…” he said.

“Hmm?”

“It wasn’t just for my mother when I said I wanted to marry you. It was also something else. I remembered you. From the park. The moment I entered the room and saw you, I recognized you. Ever since we met at the park, and although it was only for a few moments, I didn’t stop thinking about you. You were always on my mind. You were covered with sweat but still, all I thought about that was to lick it all off of you. So when I saw you in the room, you couldn’t believe how happy I was. Then, you said you’d marry me, I was ecstatic”

“Pervert” I said and kissed him again.

---

I was waiting for him to come. We’re going to tell my parents that I’m gay and want to marry Ryo. Then, I heard the bell ring and quickly went to open the door. There, stood Ryo carrying a bouquet of red Tulips.

“You look as beautiful as ever, Hime” He said and I blushed a bit. I leaned it and gave him a kiss.

“Here, this is for you”

“Thanks. You know, it’s rare to see people give someone else tulips.”

He smirked “Do you know what red tulips means?”

My face turns into a blank one “No idea”

He pecked me on the lips and said “Red Tulips means, eternal love. And that’s what our love is; I will love you for all eternity.”

I stared at him lovingly “Well, it seems like I got myself a romantist~” He laughed and we both entered. He sat on the couch while I went to put the flowers in a vase. From now one, red tulips will be my favorite flower just because it’s the first flower Ryo has given me. When I was done. I took a seat beside him and as if on cue, my parents walked in.

“Nishikido-kun” my father said surprised.

“Nice to see you again sir” And Ryo bowed a bit.

“Take a seat. We need to tell you something.” The took a seat and I just told them frankly “Mom, dad, I’m gay and we decided to get married. Hope you will support us~” I said normally as if I’m talking about the weather. My parents face showed the father of surprise. The were practically turned to stone. Ryo was trying his best to hide his laughter and I gave him a jab on the side.

“What?” My father said after finally a few minutes “You’re gay?”

“Yeah and besides, you want the contract with the Nishikido family so our marriage will give you that”

He just nodded plainly.

“Are you sure this is what you want?” My mom said and I nodded determinedly. She just nodded a bit but still looks shock.

“This is a lot to handle…” My dad says and I was about to reply when the entrance door blew open and entered my sister with a girl her age in tow.

“Utau!” Mom said happy.

“Mom, dad, I’m tired of secrets so I’m just going to tell you! I’m a lesbian and this is my girlfriend Neru! We are engage!” And then my sister planted a hot passionate kiss with the girl named Neru.

And finally, my mom couldn’t handle it anymore she fainted and my dad, blacked out for a few moments. I turn to Ryo grinning “We are an interesting family right?”

And Ryo just burst out laughing.

The End of this weird fic…
