Crash Into Me...
Can I just say that while I've always known and thought LA drivers suck--I now have offical proof with my amazing squish-y car. Poor poor Mazda got smooshed between two cars when a four car domino effect happened on my way home from work last night. I was already having the most crap-tacular day from hell and that just topped it.
I was more than half way home, contentedly listening to my newest burned mix CD, and stopped in grid-lock. While yes not the most comforting feeling in the world I was STOPPED. Aparently some jagoff didn't realized people weren't moving (uh huh) and plowed into the car behind me, which rammed into me, causing me to ram into the people in front of me. Needless to say my little Mazda (which just got it's tune up last week! BASTARDS!!!) got crushed beneath the back bumper of the big car-thing infront of me.
So no car... until it's fixed. On an up note no one was hurt and my car insurance company's been fantastic. My poor broke-d car was taken to the most amazing autobody shop I've ever seen out in Pasadena. I walked and and walked out then walked back in because it looked like a Design Firm inside the lobby. Friendly and fantastic staff, a freakin' waiting room with plush couches, tv, internet access, and comp drinks of choice. I was impressed--I was assured by my insurance they were the best and wouldn gouge me. So we'll see once I get a call with the estimate. Also, the rental car Enterprise gave was pimped out! It's a luxury car for the price of an economy car... so I guess not ALL is bad, and it's back to the daily grind of work tomorrow.
