Got to play World of Warcraft today for the first time in months. I finally got my level 43 character a mount. (You qualify for a mount at level 40, but need to have 90 gold to buy it). Both Josh and I are bankrupt now, but we both have big riding kitties! Hooray! Now Josh doesn't have to go slow for me to keep up with him.
Also, the druid talent tree was redone, and they added a new shapeshifting form as the highest level spell in one of the paths. It's called "Moonkin form" and it rocks my world. All the other shapes (cat, bear, cheetah, sea cow) are animal forms, so while you're shapeshifted, you can't cast spells, use items, or talk to people. It's a pain. But the animal forms tend to be better armored and more powerful combatively than squishy human form. The moonkin is the best of both worlds: it's a humanoid form, so you can talk and use items and cast some or your spells (the damage dealing ones, but not the healing ones), but it also has 360% more armor than human form. I love it.
So there's more than most of you wanted to know about the workings of Wow.
Here's some screenshots, because....because I can:
