Today is my and Josh's second wedding anniversary. Over the course of the day, I've had a number of different thoughts on this topic:
1) I love you, Josh!
2) I can't believe it's been 2 years. I still find myself wanting to say "I was married recently"...and then realizing that isn't true anymore. Maybe it's because my WaMu card still has my maiden name on it..
3) We got a few anniversary cards from family members. This occasioned two very different reactions in me. One was that I realized I had a new source of bonus money, (yay!) in addition to birthdays and the receiving of degrees. The other was that I realized that very soon now, I was going to have to start tracking my friend's weddings and sending them wedding anniversary cards. For some reason, this struck me as a serious sign of being a grown-up. When I was little, my mother was forever going "Oh, I forget so-and-so's anniversary! Gotta get that card in the mail!" and I didn't care. Wedding anniversaries had nothing to do with my life. And now they do. Weird.
