The ongoing kitten-naming debate
After some further brainstorming and culling of the list, here are our current top possibilities:
Kitsune & Mazikeen
Aubrey & PeeJee
Inanna & Ishtar
We'll see which ones they fit best...As Josh mentioned in his journal, kitten acquisition has been delayed due to illness (on the kitten's part, not on ours). Looks like the new arrival date is May 30th. Sad :(

In non-kitten related news:
I learned that CSA hired the guy from the linguistics department at UCSD that I had recommended/encouraged to apply. So I'm happy, because I think it will be a good job for him and I think he will work well with the people there. I feel a lot better leaving them so quickly now that I know they have a competent replacement.
Parity is going well. I wish I had my own desk, but hey...at least I got permission to come into work late on Thursday, so I can enjoy myself at the midnight showing of Episode III. Another one of my colleagues from the ling department interviewed with Parity today, for a part-time summer job working on the same project with me. It would be cool if she gets hired-another female in the office, and some one I can go to lunch with! I'm just hooking up the UCSD ling department up with all kinds of employment opportunities! Certainly far more than the so-called "Career Center" at UCSD has ever been able to.
Last day of trig was today...final exam is next week...I'm not too concerned. In June I start a summer Pre-Calc course that meets 2.5 hours, 4 days a week. Eeep. I hope the only homework is on weekends...I don't have time to work 8 hours, go to class for 2.5 hours and do 1+ hours of homework on weekdays. Of course, two months ago I wouldn't have said I was capable of working 12 hour days, so who knows. But I hope it's not too bad, because I don't want to have to be crazy stressed Karen again. She's not a fun person. Even Josh doesn't like her.
