Ok so I might have over-reacted a little bit when I found out that my journal wasn't as private as I thought it was. But. So be it. Everything is now friends only. I probably won't strictly adhere to this new security level, but Semagic made ALL of my entries friends-locked and I'm too lazy to go back and unlock all of the fluff entries.
