So the other day, I was in the car and saw a bumper sticker that said:
"Welcome to Florida, where sea turtles and manatees are more important than people."
For a second I couldn't tell whether or not this was being sarcastic. However, when I noticed the "Save the Horse, Ride a Cowgirl" and the "Support Dubbya" stickers, I realized the answer.
Because obviously, asking people to shut there curtains when it’s dark, and to slow their boats down, is just blasphemous. And how dare they block off a square foot of our beaches to save turtle nests? Why...that's just unheard of...
