this is what my new life in dc has amounted to. well maybe a bit more, but you get the point- I'm not in new england anymore. which is sort of a nice change of pace. and it turns out DC is so much more than a capitol. hmm who knew? I'm actually really happy, lots of nights out and concerts and busyness with my jobs and new friends.
working at a non profit and a food co-op so that pretty much fills up the days. living with some random people in a random house on a nice street filled with mostly latino families and their super cute kids. we have a compost pile in the back and some pea pods sprouting when I remember to water them.
oh and i graduated from college, but I think everyone knew that from the plethora of depressing facebook albums declaring "the end".
I don't know how to describe this new life other than to say that saturday as I walked down a new street with new friends a tall skinny man walked by wearing nothing but tight tiny sequined shorts. I wanted to scream with joy. This city is bizarro. I've met more jews than in the last four years (well maybe not but a lot) and lots of other types too (even boys) who could possibly be my friend. which will work out for the next two months until I leave AGAIN and do this whole adjustment thing all over again. and I'm alright with that. very non committal these days.
so- come visit me! i have lots of cushy couches and fresh organic produce. but no time. who needs that eh?
