What the Fuck? When did the government start getting involved with video games anyway? From what I hear, those ratings are now being enforced by government (supposedly, the penalty for selling mature games to underage kids is worse than selling cigarettes for the shopkeepers, but I'm skeptical). Wow, I'm surprised you don't believe it. It's not about statistics, but about psychology. Personally, I've held the belief that violent movies, shows, and games all increase violent tendancies for years, based on observations of myself and others. After playing GTA I actually felt myself thinking running down pedestrians, and had strong urges to do so. Some of my friends' younger siblings, very calm and well behaved kids, started to attack people with kicks and punches after watching power rangers. But if you're disinclined to believe my personal experience, go and look at the actually psychological studies that have been done before you go and say "well, their statistics aren't well supported, so there's no way ( ... )
