People say don't think about it. Why? You could, well, make a decision too late. Things have time constraints. Usually, I suspect, the phrase warns against undermining your confidence with doubt. When you pondering a decision, you call it into question. Let's say your intuition tells you one thing. To doubt your intuition, does that have a negative impact on your confidence, or who you are as a person? Is it this fear that compells them to say, don't think about it? Or is it stress? Somehow, it seems, calling things into question puts pressure on you. The more open questions you're debating at a time, the more stressful life can be. Also, if you're debating a question, you don't get a break. No breaks for an extended period of time can be harmful, no doubt. So perhaps the advice above is simply an attempt to help alleviate stress on your life. Trust your intuition cause it's easier on you psychologically. I'll have to think about it.
