Once again - I've been really bad about updating my journal. Not the worst thing ever but still. I can't remember what I ate the past few days but let's just say I wasn't being very healthy but I have been exercising once a day so that is good.
I'm currently watching Dances with Wolves and it is actually not a bad movie. I can understand why it won some oscars. The beginning was very offputting but I think that is just because they were really trying to show how white people kind of sucked back around the Civil War in America. No joke, the beginning of the film was set during a battle and there was other odd parts. Like this man soiled himself (not because of the battle) and then shot himself. And then there was this other character who was just crazy - like mumbled things and ate poached eggs. Offputting.
Now the movie is getting to the sad bit where a lot of Sioux natives die and I'm going to be beyond upset. Why do I do this to myself? I have no answer - I guess I am just a masochist. Oh wait Kevin Costner gave the Sioux guns and now not as many are dying. Noooo! sorry I'll stop doing this runing commentary - It makes no sense to anyone but me. NOT THE CHILDREN! Sorry again...I just...SO OFFPUTTING!
Umm, on another subject, I don't know when Mark is coming home. Part of me knows I should clean up the kitchen at the very least but I don't want to and I don't think he'll be back until tomorrow. His Monday classes start late enough that he can take the morning train down and be here on time. Mark is really good about going to class. The only ones he misses are ones where he sleep through his alarm and this happens like once a month. In short - I hate him.
I like having the place to myself. Don't get me wrong - I love it when Mark is here to but it is just different. When I am on my own - I dont' have to worry if the television is too loud or that I'm basically walking around in my underwear and a t-shirt. I also don't have to worry that the record I'm playing may not be to Mark's taste. It is just nice. Though it does get lonely so I won't mind it when he returns. I get weird and if he is around that lessens my wierdness. I just stood on my couch arm staring down at my apartment for like 20 minutes. I wouldn't do that if Mark was here...well maybe I would but not for 20 minutes.
Okay...I'm now horribly distracted by this movie, I'll make a more coherent, thought-provoking post later. For now, I'm going to go fall in love with this movie a little more. (It is also like 3 hours long...so I might be here for a while)
