Well it's not a complete disaster...
So I attempted to broil (first time ever with this oven) bacon wrapped scallops....and well I smoked the apartment out pretty well and they aren't pretty but are still broiling because they aren't done yet...
I hope they are yummy or else this will just be sad and I'll feel rather failed. I don't usually have things go horribly wrong in the kitchen, just things that come out below par. This may be my first failed venture in years. At least I learned that broiling anything besides pizza is not good for the apartment.
On a side note, the fudge actually tastes better the longer it settles. Question Mark agrees with me so I'm not being weird about it.
I have no eaten a quarter of one of them and they taste pretty good. I'll let you know in a couple hours or so when I know if they are good slash haven't given me food poisoning.
eta: I'm not sure if my stomache hurts because of failed attempts to make scallops or because I ate too much icecream. Either way....ow
