Wei

The Wei quadruplets grew into proper children in no time - that's Mason, Sarah, Anya and Bao, but I don't blame you if you can't be bothered to learn to tell them apart.

For the most part, life for the Weis was quiet. Reading, gardening, trying to avoid killing eachother. They didn't have much money, but then, they didn't need much - and after all the excitement of her early years in Hvergi, Sophia was happy that life was uneventful.

In fact, the only major event at the Wei household in years was the appearance of a puppy one morning. The kids loved Buddy, and he got spoiled rotten.

Emerson/O'Leary

The O'Learys also had growing children, and their daughter Mary was probably the prettiest child in Hvergi.

Unfortunately, grandma Laura's time was up before she could really get to know her youngest grandchild.

But life goes on, and just a few weeks after Laura's death Margaret gave birth to another daughter, Laurie. Orla adored her baby sister, and enthusiastically told everyone how excited she was to start her own family.

Taking it as a hint, James proposed right there in their living room. Orla was thrilled of course...

... but not everyone was as happy with the arrangement. Cecilia was furious with her brother. How could he marry someone who was practically his stepsister?? She tried to talk some sense in him, but when that didn't work she told him she never wanted to see his disgusting face again, and left the house she'd called home for over 15 years.

During James and Cecilia's fight, Margaret had accidentally forgotten dinner on the stove... and pretty quickly the entire kitchen was in flames. Margaret and Patrick tried desperately to save what the could of their home, but the fire was out of control, and they both got trapped by the flames.

Orla and James were left to take care of their younger sisters, and while they tried their very hardest, they really had their hands full. Between cooking, cleaning, taking care of the garden and the baby, they barely had time to sleep, let alone talk to eachother. Married life sure wasn't easy!

Poor Mary got completely neglected, and she was not a happy child...

But somehow, the two teenagers managed to get through the early years, and things did get easier, especially after little Laurie grew up a bit.

Tucker

When Cecilia Emerson left her family home, she didn't go very far. She crossed the road over to Alastair Tucker's house. She'd been friendly with Alastair for quite a while, though she hadn't introduced him to her family. When she told him about her troubles, he quickly proposed (he couldn't just have her move in - the neighbours would gossip!), and she happily accepted.

Alastair was different from the other men Cecelia had met in Hvergi. He was considerate, did his fair share of housework, and he held a steady job! She didn't really love him, at first, but he was a nice enough man and she was mostly happy with him.

So when she got pregnant, they both got pretty excited. He wanted a son to pass on his name, and she was looking forward to having someone around the house during the day.

When Cecilia gave birth to a daughter - Georgia - Alastair was a little disappointed. But there would be more children. He was sure of it.
