Also: I just realized recently that I won't be home when the Eurovision Song Contest is on. That's pretty much horrifying, and I don't know what to do about that. I'll be in... Latvia, I think, when the first semi-final is one. I'll be in Lithuania when the second semi-final is one (the one Iceland is in, so need to find a way to watch it!!). And I'll be in Denmark when the final is one. On the bright side, this means I may get the opportunity to experience ESC in three different countries. But... I won't be home for the best Party Nights of the year. Better than New Years, I swear.
Maybe missing Eurovision this year wouldn't be so horrible, though. Last night, I listened to every single song and it's all even crappier than usual. Most years, there are at least a few decent songs - this year, not so much. And Iceland's entry is pretty terrible:
By the way - do you think Regína Ósk lost weight, or did they tweak her appearance in the video? (the video is so photoshopped they look like robots!) Poor girl, having to share the stage with that tiny guy - everyone would look huge in comparison. Mom told me that recently, they had a segment on TV where preschool-aged kids were asked about the song, and someone said that it was a "little boy and his mommy singing". Heeeh.
