PS - wanna know how I can be absolutely certain I'm about to start my period? Other than going back a few weeks in my LJ and find where I complained about it last?
I need something to watch. Something funny, something light-hearted, something uplifting. And because my entire collection of lesbian movies is visiting my cousin Rakel who lives hours away I youtube Imagine Me & You. It's fun, it's cute, it's uplifting - and it has girls kissing in it. Plus, I own it and have watched it multiple times, so I don't have to commit to watching an entire movie.
Well - instead of watching the movie I stumble upon an old friend of mine. You know how the crazy obsessed people out there make "music videos" of their favorite couples, using clips from movies and tv shows and some random song? Well, I watch them. And one of my favorites is a Luce/Rachel one I first saw over a year ago. And it does meet the fun, cute, uplifting criteria.
So Imagine Me & You clips always lead me to rediscover my obsession with Piper Perabo (I have had a mad crush on her ever since I saw her in Lost & Delirious - which I convinced my friends to rent once, before I knew I was gay, and then I fell madly in love with the movie and later purchased the VHS from the video store when they closed down, score!). So anyway. Youtubing Piper Perabo usually leads to depressing videos of Lost & Delirious. Tonight, it lead to a particularly depressing video using a Kelly Clarkson song.
That video led me to multiple Kelly Clarkson songs - eventually Because Of You. Which made me bawl.
And that's how I know my period's about to start.
