(no subject)
Because obviously I had nothing better to do at 2 in the morning (except maybe study, or do laundry, or you know, SLEEP) I decided to do my eyebrows. I did a pretty decent job, and was fairly happy with how I looked when I went off to work today.
At work, one of the kids stared at me and asked "did you paint your face!?" (she is deaf - it amuses me how literal sign language sometimes is). I told her yes, and mimicked painting my eyebrows. Now, this is a smart girl, and a very funny one. She's obviously noticed that I rarely wear makeup, because she promptly started batting her eyelashes, walking around swaying her hips, pretending to powder her nose, giggling, making silly faces and motioning towards me. Being made friendly fun of in sign language is hilarious.
I'm surprised, though! This is the girl who regularly tells me to "Get your hair cut tomorrow. Tomorrow, or next week maybe, and get it coloured, too."
Later, another girl started a conversation about grandparents, cancer and trips to Spain. Then she looked at me, dead serious, and announced that I have a mustache.
