(no subject)
Tonight, I went on a blind date. Only, it wasn't really a blind date - I was just meeting someone I've never met before over coffee (or, in our case, beer). No romance! It was sort of weird, but fun, in a way. It kinda made me think - how do we make friends? I'm really not that good at it, and most of my friends I've had for ages. When I meet new people I'm normally worried about what I say or do or how I look, but tonight was eeeasy, there weren't many uncomfortable silences, and I felt like we could totally be friends.
Anyway - the purpose of the blind-date-that-wasn't-a-date was to meet up with a hopefully soon-to-be roommate. Because guess what! I need to get out of this house. And it'll happen. Whenever we find a place. Hooray!
Tomorrow, I start a new school. I'm super excited... and kind of nervous. Mostly excited, though!
