I spent the day bouncing between uuugh, so hungover! and uuugh, so SICK!, and I couldn't tell you which felt worse.
I've had a bad cold for days now, but I refused to let it get in the way of my fun weekend plans, so I spent Friday night in the good company of some girls from work, a couple of beers, and a lot of SingStar (for you Americans, that's the best PlayStation game there is... basically, it's karaoke... but more fun). Felt kinda icky on Saturday, but still went to Vera's to watch the Icelandic Eurovision finals, and eat some pizza. Eurovision was alright. The pizza was yummy. But the best thing, it turns out, was the white wine. Mmmm. So, I got a little bit more drunk than I'd planned on... and we spent the majority of the night discussing penises, ick (and I totally looked the plural of penis up - I've seen many people write it as peni, but now I know that's wrong, since Latin words ending in -is take on an -es ending in plural, so it's either penises, or penes, and penises just kinda sounds better in a non-formal text like here... in my opinion, anyway). Then I accidentally ended up at Kaffibarinn, where I ran into lots and lots of people I know, and one boy who insisted that I worked at the hospital last summer (I obviously didn't), and then I realized that he was talking about my sister. My sister who is 7 years younger than me. Okay, wtf.
So I woke up today and I had a fever in addition to my cold. And a hangover. I slept and slept and watched bad TV (Ali G and American Dad) and slept some more. Then I prepared for my favorite fun day - bun day! - by baking lots and lots and lots of sweet buns and covering them in chocolate. So excited to eat one (with whipped cream and some jam) for breakfast tomorrow!
