So they finally figured out what was wrong with my grandfather, at least kind of. It was his gallbladder, it wasn't functioning correctly or something and so they removed it today. And then his heart started acting weird while they were operating so they're keeping him asleep until tomorrow morning, but he should be fine, though. Honestly, we were all very relieved that it was only the gallbladder and nothing more serious. But he'll probably be in the hospital for a while. Since they've figured out what's wrong, and done something about it and now he just needs to recover, I'm going to Seyðisfjörður on Friday like I planned to... and I think my relatives from over there are going to take turns flying over to Reykjavík and stay at our place while we're gone so that they can be close to Afi. So hopefully he'll recover quickly and everything will be good.
Excellent 11-hour day at school today, yay. The lectures were okay and labs were actually fun, also working with R, the silly computer program I have cursed quite a few times before. And I think my teachers like me now as I was way excited about finally understanding how to do chi-square tests and Fisher tests and t-tests and how to make tables and graphs and whatnot with that program. And got to watch frogs injected with hormones too, and watched the effects of the hormone on two other frogs (male grabs female and clings to her for a longlong time). It was fun. And then I accidentally killed a few tadpoles, which was sad.
Oh, and I got my grades back for my two presentations I did in developmental biology, got a 9.0 and an 8.5 so YAY!
Three more days until Easter break starts for me... it doesn't technically start until Wednesday next week, but I made a deal with some of my teachers. So pretty much... today was a good day! :)
