Tonight was our opening performance of "who will carry the word?," a play about a group of french resistance workers who get sent to Auschwitz during the Second World War. The play is very heavy and extremely dark, and I'll be happy when its over. It isn't much fun to get into a character who is suffering from hypothermia, typhoid, and starvation. But, I'm sure this experience was worthwhile in that it is easy to turn our backs from the horrible things and I needed a reminder, in a much different way than what i experienced in Japan. So this week, let us remember. I'll try to post a cast picture later this week.
