Title: Six Fernando Llorente/Javi ficlets
Rating: PG-13 to NC-17
Pairing: Fernando Llorente/Javi
Warnings: no
Disclaimer: That girl who always lies? It's me, and I'm doing it right here, right behind the cut. I shamelessly lie.
Notes: A few months ago, my friend Anne (a.k.a "I live and die for Athletic Bilbao") and I were chatting and she challenged me to write as many drabbles/ficlets as I can starting with the phrase "contrary to popular belief" (a phrase she claims I abuse anyway).
The exact terms of the challenge:
* Must start with the line "contrary to popular belief"
* Must have Fernando Llorente and/or Javi, preferably together.
* Must be done in 2 hours (tbh, it was late night here, so I crapped out after an hour and a half)
* Mustn't be too angsty.

I didn't post them because I wasn't very happy with the result, and Anne isn't on LJ anyway, so she doesn't care (she got them as I wrote them). But drbillbongo asked, and I hereby comply.

#1 Ways to say I love you (141 words)

Contrary to popular belief, not everyone needs to hear the words "I love you" to know that they're loved. Javi, for one, is convinced beyond any doubt that Fernando loves him, even if he's never said it in so many words. But it doesn't bother Javi in the slightest. As long as he can feel it, it's real. And he can feel it. He can feel it every time Fernando smiles at him. Every time he looks at him, be it with joy, pride or longing. He can feel it when Fernando touches him, and he can feel it when he kisses him. He really doesn't need the words to convince him. So when Fernando traces the word love on his body one day, the only new thing Javi learns from the experience is that Fernando has a truly horrible handwriting.

#2 Assurances (258 words)

Contrary to popular belief, Fernando wasn't blind or in denial. He was merely cautious. He merely wanted to make sure the way Javi looked was really not just extra-friendly. He just wanted to know with certainty that the way Javi's hand lingered on his arm was really more than an accident. He simply wanted to have some assurances before he did something horribly stupid, like fall in love with him. That's all.

Contrary to popular belief, Javi wasn't going to wait forever. Whether his teammates were right, and Fernando was really that blind to his rather obvious advances, or he was right, and Fernando was simply not interested, he had to find out now, and get it over with. Because Javi wasn't that good at pining and longing. He was much better suited for pursuing and getting.

Contrary to popular belief, just because he wanted assurances, it didn't mean he didn't want Javi. No, nothing could be farther from the truth. That's why when Javi stopped looking, touching and flirting with him, Fernando wasn't pleased. At all. Yes, he still would have liked to have some assurances - that flirting implied something more than a casual interest; that more than casual interest implied more than a one night stand; preferably, that more than that implied love. But he wasn't, no matter what his teammates thought, that stupid. And so, assurances be damned, he grabs Javi and whispers on his ear that tonight, he wants to fuck him.

Contrary to popular belief, the direct approach doesn't take away the magic.

#3 Foreplay (97 words)

Contrary to popular belief, foreplay is not always necessary. As much as Javi usually likes to take his time and tease Fernando mercilessly, sometimes, they just need to fuck, as hard and as fast as possible. Particularly because they both think that being on the pitch and playing well together is a form of foreplay. So sometimes, Javi doesn't need to take his time, to touch every inch of Fernando's body, to kiss and bite and explore. Sometimes, he just needs to shove him against the wall and take him. As hard and as fast as possible.

#4 Amor vincit omnia (84 words)

Contrary to popular belief, love doesn't conquer all. Sure, love may conquer some minor difficulties, like keeping their affair secret and refraining from public displays of affection, but some things, even love can't conquer. For example, Javi is pretty sure that no matter how much he loves Fernando, it'll still annoy him every time that his lover wakes up cheerful and chatty every morning, while he wakes up grumpy and uncommunicative. Luckily, love at least makes you want to overcome these truly major difficulties.

#5 Jerking Off (90 words)

Contrary to popular belief, people don't stop jerking off just because they have a partner and can have truly amazing sex with them. Also contrary to popular belief, it's not something you necessarily need to hide from your lover. Sometimes, there was nothing Javi liked more than calling Fernando (who never ever said anything during these calls, thus disqualifying it from being proper phonesex) and telling him exactly how he felt when he was stroking his cock and pushing his fingers up his arse, all the while thinking of Fernando.

#6 Innocence (296 words)

Contrary to popular belief, Javi was hardly innocent. He knew exactly what he was doing when his touches lingered just a little longer than necessary. Exactly what he was achieving when he lifted his shirt slowly, as if absentmindedly, to reveal his stomach. He knew exactly how Fernando would react when he saw him bending over a little too slowly, a little too deliberately. Yes, he knew all about taunting Fernando in the most torturous, inventive and subtle ways.

Contrary to popular belief, neither was Fernando. He knew exactly how to make Javi get to the point where his teasing became so blunt, that Fernando was surprised he wasn't constantly jumped by random teammates and strangers. He knew exactly how to feign ignorance and absentmindedness to make Javi try that much harder to get his attention, and he reveled in every teasing movement, every tortured sigh he could get out of his lover before he finally took pity on him and stopped pretending his efforts went unnoticed. True, it was a little evil of him to make Javi work so hard to get his attention; but how could he resist, if every time he would let Javi tease him for hours, ignoring his own needs, the ache of anticipation made him jump Javi like an animal in heat and fuck him for hours until they were both sore and Javi's voice was hoarse from screaming his name? How could he resist, when every time Javi begged for it so prettily, that he just couldn't help but make Javi wait so that the next time, he's so eager, so desperate for his touch, that he'll have to beg and scream his name like this again? No, he wasn't innocent at all. But it was all worth it.
