Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley, Big&Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Kenny Chesney, and a few surprises...
I'm still upset about all the events of the last week. I don't understand why things are the way they are, but I'm dealing with them as best I can.
Ok, so I'm back from the concert...Let me just say it was absolutely unbelieveable.
I left work Friday at 11:30 and drove to Aron & Ashley's in Wise. Garon was cussing me already when I got there because he was ready to go. I went inside to the bathroom and right back out. We left about 1 and were on our way to Nashville. It seemed like it took forever to get there. We stopped a couple times at various places to use the bathroom, get gas, and stuff to eat. When we finally got to Nashville and found out hotel, the mess began. lol So our reservation was wrong. Let me just say that one king bed and a sleeper sofa is not the same as two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. But the hotel "manager" didn't seem to care. The rest of the evening was spent going off on her. haha We went to the mall, looked around, ate, and Garon made an "album" hehe before we headed out. We went to the grocery store to get some stuff to cook for breakfast before heading back to the hotel. Garon and I drank a little bit, the boys played blocks and pushed each other around on a foot stool before we headed to bed. It was one fun night. lol
Saturday morning, we got up about 11 (central time lol) and Garon and Ashley cooked breakfast. We ate, Aron and I washed dishes, and we got ready to leave. We spent the afternoon in downtown Nashville. We line danced in the Wild Horse Saloon, drank in a bar (one that Dierks Bentley is known to walk into), walked inside the Ryman Auditoriam, tried to go inside "Batman", walked past Coyote Ugly, and walked what seemed like 1000 miles to the stadium (thanks to our free parking! lol). Aron and Garon tried to get us better seats from some scalpers, but Ashley and I wouldn't let them! haha The concert started at 4:30. Little Big Town was first. I thought they were really good. Next came Dierks Bentley! I was very disappointed that he went that early, but he was unbelievably wonderful! I would have paid that money just to see him! Then came Big&Rich. Their show was probably the most entertaining, even though I don't like them very much. Cowboy Troy made a guest appearance and sang I Play Chicken With The Train. Gretchen Wilson followed them and she pretty much sucked. She did sing Homewrecker though, so it wasn't a total loss. haha If she hadn't sang that, I'd have been pissed. And obviously she ended with Redneck Woman. I could have done without her. And lastly was Kenny. He was as good as always too. He sang Anything but Mine and of course I cried three rivers. haha Uncle Kracker was there with him too. And Keith Urban. Now I don't like Keith Urban at all. Garon loves him and absolutely went crazy when he came out. haha I was so mad! haha We left there about 11:30 I guess. It was a great show! It took hell and forever to walk back to the car and then we were stuck in traffic for even longer. We had way too much fun, even in all that traffic. We got back to the hotel and everybody showered and got ready for bed. After a few minutes, everybody was ready to pass out...
This morning, we got up at 10 (central time again), I think. Garon and Ashley cooked breakfast again. We ate, and Aron and I cleaned up. We got ready and checked out of the hotel at 11. We got back to Aron and Ashley's in Wise a little after 5 (our time). I stayed over there for a couple hours after we got back. Kathy and Doug came over and Kathy grilled hamburgers. I left about 7:30 and came back to the apartment. It's almost midnight now and I still haven't dried my hair. I need to get my butt in the bed. Hope everyone else had as good a weekend as I did.
