Going downstairs now to check on the bread that was made early this morning in the bread machine. Not by me! By the elves who live in the house. I heard them arguing over how to level off the flour. But I did smell something wonderful at the top of the stairs upon waking up.
I'm so happy that I'm finally done with chapters 1-3. 30 pages of revising done. Never mind that I've been revising these pages for 10 months. Now I can get on with the other 138.
Just a few days ago I finished THE LONDON EYE MYSTERY, which was a fabulous read. I have to thank Tanya at
www.books4yourkids.com for the recommendation. I couldn't put it down! Not only that, I read it on my iPad, mostly in the dark, so the whole thing felt like I was floating somewhere in a different world. I suppose good books make you feel that way regardless, but there is something about reading in the dark (aside from the bad lighting and the havoc you're wreaking on your eyes). You really can imagine more. Or at least, differently.
Of course, I couldn't see this cover. I didn't see any cover at all. I had to picture everything in my mind. In a way, I really like this about ebooks. Everything must be done in your head. You don't even have a back cover description to keep flipping back to.
Now, off for that bread, which thank god, isn't virtual.
