I mean, walkin' in a winter wonderland. Yeah, that's the ticket.
I didn't bother to go to the store yesterday, so I was forced to make some eating decision today. I tried to walk to Burger King, which I can see from the house, but I got to the end of the street and it appeared that they were closed. However, I spotted a Domino's delivery car, so I came back and ordered that. Papa John's wasn't delivering.
Domino's - Worst Ingredients, Better Drivers. I want to see this ad campaign. Sincerely. Their pizza is better cold than hot.
So I guess the last two days have meant that my attempts to get back on Atkins has been a bit of a failure. I didn't eat lunch on Friday and by the time I went for dinner (was holding out since I didn't want to eat alone), I just ate whatever. That was bad. So that gave me an excuse to take the weekend off, which I promptly did. Travelling really throws a wrench in dieting. I am such a creature of habit.
Oh well, I am not too down on myself. There's always tomorrow.
Until I die. Then there's no tomorrow. Crap.
I like watching the snow, so I did that most of today. Comedy Central had some pretty solid stand-up on today. If you guys haven't heard any of Brian Regan's stuff, you need to do that immediately. There are pretty good mp3s available.
Wake lost again. I think I've mastered not letting that ruin my day. I still think this team is headed for good things.
I had to go to the office for a minute earlier tonight. That ended up taking about an hour even though I was literally in the office about 5 minutes. The roads are not that great. I did see the bossman there, so that's good. I like having my after hours work efforts noticed. He was about to drive to Charlotte for a meeting tomorrow morning. Better him than me.
I guess I have to report to work around 9:30 tomorrow. If it starts icing, I think I will leave. I just don't see how sports marketing is so important that it's worth risking the lives of 25 locals and the people they might potentially get in a wreck with on the way to or from work. Especially since I got in a wreck one time last year when they decided to keep the office open after it started icing. Call me crazy, but that is the only time I have been in a wreck. I don't like the way my current car handles in ice/snow at all. My previous POS cars seemed much better at doing what I wanted.
Oh well, enough of this.
Back to Bond on AMC. Incidentally, they are showing Thundberall and For Your Eyes Only today/tonight. Thunderball is the Bond movie that I saw first, so I like it quite a bit. I like FYEO pretty good, too. The woman in it is fairly pretty (shocking, I know).
