But on the eve of meeting Texas today in the second round of this year's tournament, Tar Heels' junior swingman Jackie Manuel all but said that he and his teammates couldn't have cared less about what their new coach had to tell them. Not until Thursday night, when they won their first tournament game over Air Force. "I think it started last night," Manuel said matter of factly. "I think every player bought into the system and what coach has been talking about. "No one has been here before, and coach has all the experience. So why not listen to him?"
Well, isn't that magnanimous of them?
Williams apparently has a locker room full of obstinate malcontents who've accomplished nothing, except making some fast-food all-star team in high school.
