I've heard alot about it, and talked alot about it, but yesterday I finally did something about my plan to take advantage of Wells' elusive dual-degree exchange program with Cornell's engineering school. What I didn't quite understand was that I am the guinea pig for this program. When I sat down to meet with the admissions representative and she called me a "pioneer," I think part of my cerebellum imploded.
Other than mild cranial disturbances, the meeting went really well. I may only need to end up taking one course there while stilll enrolled at Wells. AND THEY'RE OFFERING A NEW CONCENTRATION: "COMPUTING AND THE ARTS." Meaning, computing relation to all media of artistic expression i.e. Graphic Arts, Visual Arts, Music, Video etc. In other words, INSANELY COOL.
And then to make the day even more kickass, I ran into the coolest girl from my middle school (who is enrolled full-time at Cornell, the little genius), and we caught up. It is the awesomest feeling in the whole world to have a huge crush that you can talk to like a normal human being.
In other news, I need to stop trying to have a life and dive into all of my schoolwork and class-president work. Because its the right thing to do. Right?
