Here's a song I wrote about a month ago.
I think anyone who reads my journal knows for whom it is written.

It's a song of reminisence, a song of reassurance, a song of reaffirmation, but above all else, it's a song of love.

"I Am Home"

Whenever you were near
Whenever it was just you and me
I was unafraid and I felt safe
things I'd never felt before
You had the power to make me believe
things would be ok, in the end
and lift my soul from off the floor

And it felt.. so right.. coz

When I heard your voice, I knew
where happy was
When you held me, I knew
how to belong
When I saw your eyes, I knew,
I was home.

I've seen a different side of you now,
I see you need safety too
a place you can be unafraid
I know you're only human.. fragile, flawed
I have the power to make you believe
things will be ok, in the end
I see that you're vulnerable and it
makes me love you more

And it feels.. so right.. coz

When you hear my voice, you'll know

When you hold me, you'll know

When you see my eyes, you'll know
You are home.

Time has passed, we've been through much
good and bad,
and we've made the odd mistake,
but I still feel safe with you
and of our love I've never been more sure.
I'm sure.

And it feels.. so right.. coz
