A Player of Great Renown
and even Motor Neurone

From the day you signed for Celtic
You gave pleasure to us all
There was nothing pal you couldn't do
When you were on the ball
Turning full-backs inside out
they thought you were a pain
but once you'd skinned them for a laugh

The fans took you to their hearts
A player they could rely on
and the greatest moment of them all
you became a Lisbon Lion
Football was your greatest love
but at singing you did well
just put a mike in front of you

Now Jinky son these days have passed
and the world's a sadder place
No more we'll see your football skills
or that cheeky little face
But rest assured you will live on
