Learning To Heal, Learning To Crawl
Without you I am naked in this un-sureness
These shallow breaths lend me no strength
To fight the weakness of this wounded mind
Pressure washed eyes that hold a knowing
Of the worst evils that lurk in this world
Reality can be stretched and bent, you see
Into whatever it takes to give it sense
Without lies we would break ourselves
Truth and horrors we cannot comprehend
I am fragile in my changing
Tired and sore and needing
This pain is all I’ve had
Consistency is hard won
But though I am shaking
And terrified of everything
Crying out like a child
Wishing for your heart beat
Without you I am naked of comfort
