...Alameda and beyond!
...Ok ...so... I had to travel back to my old stomping grounds to re-take part 1 of my server test for Apple. I have not been back to the city of Alameda since I bought plumbing parts for the boat last year and it was a quick visit. I miss this city. I did get a chance to have coffee with my old roommate that is still living at the beach side apartment. She is good ...She is going to graduate from nursing school in May. I was able to eat at my favorite spots and drive around the docks there looking at old boats and just scoping it out. I said hello to my favorite comic book store ladies that is doing ok and is getting ready for the X-mas rush.
I caught a movie at the renovated theatre...OMG! it is probably one of the biggest and most beautiful theaters I have ever seen. All of inside is all from the 20s deco and just amazing. This place was closed and was a church when I lived here. I am so happy that they show movies here again instead.
I also did my laundry here at one of the most "70s" looking laundry mattes you would ever want to set foot in. It's still cheaper here and gets your clothes more clean than most joints i have been to...
So at one given point I was doing my laundry...watching a Browns game...sitting in a 70s laundry matte having fried rice ...trying to relax and wondering how OUT of place everything seems to be right now.
