...but that's nothing new.
I know I've been lax the last couple of days and have lots to post about, but I'll start by posting about the weirdness of my dreams last night, because that's one of the most dream-filled nights I've had in a long time.
Last nights dreams included, in no particular order (and some of them were linked, but fairly tenuously):
- Being burgled by gunmen - and when I say gunmen, I'm talking serious hardware - each had either a rather large handgun or a box gun. I had a nice bit of guiltiness there, because I'd left the front door open while I went outside to sort something out, but I came in through the back door, unwittingly leaving the front door open. On the silver linings side, though, no one was hurt, and they got my computer but not my external drive, which has backups of everything, so I remember thinking that I still had all my data and that insurance would actually get me a better machine. Clearly my subconscious was in glass half full mode.
- Being a day and a half late for the new term at school. And I mean actual school, that institution I haven't attended in over a decade. It was a proper anxiety dream, though. I think I was meant to be young in the dream, because this followed on from the burglary dream when I was still living with my parents (it was their house that was robbed, though the computer set up was my current one). There was also something about a teacher, and walking to or from school, but that's too hazy now.
- Being a member of crew on a boat that may or may not have been some sort of spy boat. When we had some sort of problem a big orange helicopter came and hovered over a hatch and let another woman aboard to help. Not much more I remember about that, other than seeing an impressively large new passenger aircraft.
- There was also the properly scary segment, in which there was a horrible evil spirit type thing trapped in the garage (at my parents' again, or at least a house based on theirs). This thig kept whispering to me, trying to get me to release it, but I knew that it wanted to hurt me so I refused. Eventually something happened that allowed it to escape, but rather than coming for me it headed for the closest town and I eventually tracked it to an impressively large and ornate building - either a theatre or a huge church/cathedral - where it was up in the rafters planning bad things. The weirdest part of all this, though? The spirit/demon/thing was all smoky black, but very definitely in the shape of Mickey Mouse. Why was Mickey an evil spirit?
That was a lot of dreaming for one night. An adventure dream, anxiety dream and a nightmare all chucked in together. I need a rest now to recover from my night's adventures.
