In other news, I've applied to join an LJ RPG which katsudon recommended. It's a cross fandom insane asylum crackfest and appears rather interesting.
The Good: There are some interesting characters involved - Katsu is Jack Harkness, there's a Mal and a couple of other Browncoats, and even a Javert (sharing a room with Mal, which is entertaining on its own.
The Bad: There are many, many manga/anime characters, and I have no idea who 95% of them are.
I've applied to RP as Ten, which should prove difficult because I've never played anyone quite so mercurial, but should also be a lot of fun.
The Good: The mods have put up a list of the characters who've been newly applied for, including my application as the Doctor, and this seems a popular application - lots of players are squeeing about the possibility of Ten joining them.
The Bad: Much of the squeeing involves "David Tennant/Ten is so sexy!". When I start playing I might need something sturdy to fight off the fangirls with. I intend to keep the Doctor in character, which means he most categorically doesn't do sex - especially as he'll be joining the game directly after Runaway Bride and is therefore rather emo about Rose. This could be... interesting.

Ooh, and I've just remembered something else: Shakespeare seemed vaguely familliar, so I imdbed him. I haven't actually seen him in anything but... Russell T has continued his tradition of reusing actors he likes... sort of - this time it's an actor's brother. Yes folks, the slightly gay Shakespeare is the brother of the very gay Vince. Yay Vince! Vince's brother is rather tasty...
