Rock me like a wagon wheel

Bacon & Cake …
Things started out kind of slow on Friday. Got home showered and then spent the next few hours doing whatever I damn well pleased. I really had no intentions of deal with the human race, but then came Thandor offering up midnight cake at the Marietta Diner. So, without much of a fight I truck it on down to the diner and discover that yes you can order cake and bacon at the same time. Friday will now be known as Cake and Bacon night.

Waffles, Pillows & Roasting
I figured I’d show up and throw pillows about in the park. (Just in case you didn’t know Saturday was pillow fight day.) But Dustin had a different plan. FOOD! So I show up to the corner tavern to find Dustin and a friend of his (wish I could remember her name) drinking mimosas. What’s a girl to do … join in of course? Then there was the food. The most glorious creation… waffles and cheese burgers do belong together! If you’re at the corner tavern in little 5 you must have one. So after fully preparing our bodies and minds for the mayhem that we were about to endure we walked gaily down the street to freedom park where we spent the next hour beating people with pillows. It was exhausting but fun. After the epic battle we did some shopping and chilled with Dustin for a few hours and off I went to the Roast.

Joe looked so cute perched up in his big chair with feet dangling in the air. Got to see the best PowerPoint ever created by man and hear funny stories about a wonderful guy that many people love. Hung out and talked to more awesome people and then found my way back to my lovely bed for the much needed sleep.

Oh Sunday… a blessing and a curse.

Woke up and mill around the house. No plans, just figured I’d lay around outside and enjoy this beautiful spring weather and then the phone rings. Erik… (I love this man). I squeed a little when I saw it was him. So much for lying around Daddy needs a drink and he needs it now. So on his orders; we set out for the nearest bar. Had a drink at Mulligan’s and decided that drinking with friends was a far better idea.

Many phone calls and an hour later we pick up Joe and sit our happy asses down at The Highlander. Cheese sticks, patty melts and tater tots make for good eats. It was so nice to spend time with Erik, Fritz, Joe, Stacy, Brenda and Winter & Maddi. I owe Brenda and Maddi a huge apology. I had no idea a man could do that. Sorry ladies.

After the fun died down Erik and I went to his house. I’m not going into the details, but it is good to know that I have a man in my life that loves me.
