I realize this isn't timely, but it is something Bev & I have been questioning since last Halloween. We bring it up now and again, still confused.
"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". Can anyone explain to us the subplot of Snoopy being the World War II Flying Ace, flying around on his doghouse as though he's a fighter pilot, then crawling through the mine fields of France? Is there a hidden Halloween message we're missing?
Or did the writers simply run out of plot ideas for trick or treating and sitting in pumpkin patches?
Seriously, why did we all love this as kids?
I don't get it. I thought it was really assy when I watched it with my son last Halloween.
And I'm still confused.
