I've never been happier in my life.
My boss just asked me if I would like to teach ESL to adults. I've already been working with elementary students but I think it would be oh so fulfilling to be able to teach adults as well.
He also said that the students love me. One little boy refuses to do his homework unless I'm there. And when I am there, he breezes through the assignments so quickly you'd consider him a genius.
Joseph is going to join me on my trip home to Tallahassee. He flies in the following day. I'm so excited to see my family; to see my sister, my brother, mom and dad. And my jackie, my rebecca, aimee, etc. I'll only be there for 5 rainy days so I'm trying to make the best of it. Getting my high layers trimmed, going shopping (although it will pale in comparison to nyc shopping), hitting up the springs (if the weather allows), watermelon festival, and taking one night for dinner and drinks (since I'm a part of the working world now). It will be nice to hear some Tally-Jazz (but sadly, no longer at the Warehouse).
I'm also getting a new Macbook while I'm down...and I get to drive the ol' black Volvo (reminds me of my first 2 cars...years and years ago)
Tonight, along with our neighbors upstairs, we are throwing a wine and cheese dress-up party and I am so excited. Jonathan and I are walking to Trader Joes in Union Sq. to pick up wine. It's a wonderful 45 minute walk there, and another 45 back. I love love love walking.
Jackie's birthday is tomorrow and I'm making her something cute. I don't think she ever checks LJ anymore sooooo it's safe to write this. I'm transforming her into a cartoon for the cover of her card, and drawing her as the cowardly lion (what she dressed up as last Halloween) and I'm drawing myself as the tin girl...then inside I'm drawing a picture of her dog, Lulu...whom I also miss dearly.
This morning Joseph must have kissed me a thousand times before leaving to work. I was half-asleep but even in that state I understand true love.
