You've been quieter than usual, Charlie. Is there something bothering you?

Early morning ahead of us, love... can I convince you to indulge in a bit of sleeping draught?

I don't think so, no. They always make me feel a bit tetchy the next day.

No more so than usual, lately. What about a nice slug of wine to put you down, eh? It's only gone just a bit tasteless from being open.

If you really want to tire me out, I can think of better ways.

Figured it's not polite to be so forward every night of my life.

There's really no need to play coy with me, I assure you.

It's the thought that counts.

Are you going to be home tomorrow night, or do you need to stay at the reserve again?

Ought to be home, unless we've got another catastrophe on our hands. Svetlana is nesting, and she's a right piece of work even when she's not in an overprorective parent state of mind.

Should I set a plate for you at the table, or just keep your side of the bed warm?

Set my place, and I'll do my very best to be home in time to use it.

We'll wait until half past seven, then. Hope you don't mind sandwiches, because we've not got much else, and I won't have time to stop at the shops tomorrow.

Bollocks, I meant to remember about the shopping today. I'll run out after dinner, then.

What can we live without until Friday? Amelia's got enough nappies, far as I know...

We're running low on applesauce, and unfortunately she'll eat nothing but that for breakfast these days.

Saucy apples for the lady of the house, check. Mum could probably help us out with that when we bring her by in the mornings. If there's one thing never lacking in that house, it's food of all sorts.

I don't want to take advantage of that, though. She'll think that we can't handle things on our own. It's bad enough that we had to have her take Amelia during the days without any advanced notice.
