Suffering for Democracy

I'm sitting in the jury assembly room, waiting to find out if I'm going to be called for jury duty.  It's crowded, the seats are uncomfortable and I had to get up far earlier than I'm used to now that I'm self employed.  ugh.  The only bright note is that I found a parking lot for $3/day and I get paid $6 today.  Score!!!  Of course, I forgot my umbrella, it's 5 blocks away and it's supposed to rain like crazy sometime today.  The

I've got so much to get done, I'm almost positive that I'll be put on a jury.  Setting up for the new show at the gallery has filled the week (cleaning, packing up the old show, scraping and painting).  Actually putting the work out will happen on Thursday and Friday.  Preview party on Friday evening, opening on Saturday.

The cheese trays are in the kiln being bisqued.  Tomorrow they'll come out and then I'll glaze Thursday and Friday.  Fire Saturday, unload Monday morning when they'll go to the customer.  I really should have charged her more for the rush job.  Oh well.

Sleep will happen on ....   ummmm..... Sunday???
