Photographing the pots: An exercise in frustration

Aug 16, 2009 22:29

Since I'm getting ready to start putting some work online, I need to start taking better pics of my pots.  I have a great photographer, but using him to photograph everything I want to put online would be very very time-consuming and expensive.

Alex found me a nice little blog that shows how to photograph your pots.  Not as easy as it looks, let me tell you.  I'm not a skilled photographer and usually just aim and shoot and let the camera figure it out.  This is a lot more complicated than that.

I'm attaching a couple of pics of some pots that I took without any special lighting.  I've got the lighting stuff built, just need a second pair of hands to set it up and haven't found anyone free when I am yet.

Anyway, I'll post these pics and in a few days, I'll post the pics of the same pots with the proper lighting.  Hopefully, there will be a big difference.  The ones without the lighting aren't bad, though.

I'll put the lighted (or is it lit) pics up in a few days, once I get them taken.

I better get to bed.  I have an early appt with my trainer at the gym and I suspect I'm gonna be hurting.
