February 2009-
Kouichi cornered Milla after Domoto Koudai, “You’ve been working behind the scenes long enough. I have a project I want to discuss. Come over with Cashel for dinner, JANE needs more face time. You have to have a concert tour soon…”
Milla blushed shifted nervously, “Dinner? With you and Tsuyoshi…” she’d been an AD on their show for months and they’d never invited her to come to dinner before. That was Cashel’s treat being Kouichi’s favorite new kouhai. “I’ll come…”
Kouichi grinned as he went back to change, he called Cashel, “I have a proposition for you…”

Later that evening…
Kouichi set dinner on the table, making sure everything was there…
Cashel was excited, “what are you planning…”
Kouichi blinked, “Oh yes…I arranged to have the Wednesday 10pm hour for the summer drama season reserved. It took a lot of favors, I want Milla to produce, I will advise with Tsuyo-chan’s assistance. Cashel how would you like to write a drama for the five younger members of JANE. You also need sub units, the older ones in one group and the younger one in another so you are more like JUMP.”
Cashel asked quietly, “Perhaps the problem is we are all girls…Johnny’s debuts boys. Maybe we could be different, adding an eleventh member would add more to the group dynamic.”
Kouichi was intrigued, “I see…who did you have in mind…”
Cashel smirked, “I want Renz…”
Kouichi bit his lip, “Isn’t that Tackey’s assistant…”
Cashel shrugged, “He’s got talent, I want him. He gets along with us now since it became apparent we weren’t the ones causing trouble. I have an idea for a drama I’ve been toying with.”
Tsuyoshi was impressed, “tell us about it…”
Cashel tugged a notebook out of her pocket, “the drama revolves around an 8th grade girl…she was in an accident as a small child. The accident killed her mother…her father is a cop who happens to be the first on the scene of the accident. I think Erika could play the girl. Erika was asleep during the accident but touching her mother’s body shows her what happen. She tells her father and the case is solved. As she grows older she only has to touch something that was with the victim when they died to see their last moments. Some times she sees ghosts but only those who die tragically, her mother is also one who doesn’t pass on…”
Kouichi was intrigued, “I see…so what about the rest of the cast…”
She continued, “I think Renz could play Bekah’s over-protective brother. Shii had bad parents would forgot to send her to school so she is a lot older then her classmates. She is a genius who studies often. If she passes both the final exams for her third year and the entrance exams she can go straight to university. Heli is a loner; she probably barely speaks in class. She is a fangirl…Riley chases boys and spies on them. Erika solves the murders and attacks in the neighborhood. She is a psychic detective…through out the drama the five very different girls become friends…”
Tsuyoshi said gruffly, “I would watch it…”
Kouichi nodded, “we could hold auditions this next week but I think it would be more fun to do this like an Arashi movie. Why don’t you finalize the first few scripts and bring them to me…”
They started to eat…

A week later…
Erika, Bekah, Riley, Shii and Heli were dragged out of class for a drama audition.
Shii and Erika barely mentioned that they were interested in acting…
Bekah was nervous; then she saw Renz…she smiled and sat next to him, “Are you auditioning too…”
He nodded, “I guess…I’m surprised, I haven’t gotten much attention since I joined…”
They were all surprised to see Cashel, Milla, Tsuyoshi and Koichi behind the table…
Milla pointed to Bekah and Renz, “Read this scene…” it was from the third episode but she didn’t say a word.
Renz blinked, “Okay…” he read the scene quickly and then he began, “Mizuki…you weren’t home when I left for work last night. You are supposed to come right home after school eat dinner and then go to cram school.”
Bekah bit her lip, “Niichan…I had to do some research at school. We don’t have a computer here and I need resources for a paper. I came home late but I did come to eat first before cram school…I washed and set my bento dishes to dry. I’m sorry, I should have called first but I didn’t realize how late it was. I tried to hurry but you were already gone.”
Renz sighed, “I was worried…our parents died and you’re all I got. I just don’t want you to get hurt…”
Bekah smiled, “I know, I didn’t mean to worry you.” She checked her watch, “I better go…I’ll be late to school.” She hugged him and then moved as if to grab a school bag and bento, “Bye…I’ll see you tonight…sleep well…”
Cashel grinned at Milla; she knew they would be perfect for the role…
Milla nodded, “Thanks.” She pointed at Erika, “You…” she opened the script for the first episode to the scene she wanted. “Read…”
Erika sighed, “Did I choose this? A gift or a curse? The accident that killed my mother made me into something different. She is still here but she is only a shadow of herself now. She can give me advice or sing me to sleep like I was younger but she can’t hug me anymore. I’m lucky I guess to still have her…I’d trade this; whatever it is to have her back. Dad says I’m a brave girl to tell them all what happened that night…I never told him the truth. Those weren’t my memories but my mother’s; I can see what others would wish to forget. I see the after images imprinted after a traumatic event; I don’t really see ghosts well not all of the time. Usually just mom…I have to be careful when I walk around, some imprints last a long time and it is very embarrassing to see them when you around other people. Dad doesn’t know about mom still being around, or at least he chooses to ignore it. He does since he became a detective rely on me…he knows I see things…I wish I didn’t…”
Milla smirked this time, “Thank you next.”
Tsuyoshi picked Shii, “You…” he bent over a page and handed her a script for another episode.
Shii was so confused, she wanted to act but there was something weird about this audition. There were two members of JANE up there plus Kinki kids…the only ones they called to read were Johnnys. She read the script, what?
"I'd love to help you with ghost nonsense, Erika really. But I have ACTUAL exams to take. You know...not like imaginary ones. You can keep up this silly charade. I'm going to graduate and live my life so I don't have any regrets when I do become a ghost. Got it?"
Kouichi and Tsuyoshi called in favors filling the rest of the cast with friends who weren’t acting this season.
