Notes: This is a fic I promisted Rory a long time ago....
Nakamaru looked up from his table strewn with plans for the next concert to see his wife Rory practicing for her next performance with Hey Say JANE. He was proud of her…it was hard being the only girl group in Johnny’s.
He’d admired her from afar…he had gotten jealous of Hikaru and Massu quickly. Massu had become her best friend and they spent a lot of time together. Seeing Hikaru following her around like a puppy dog had made him want to fight for her. He’d romanced her, she’d been attracted to all of them but he’d found out that Massu was the first one she’d fallen for then she fell Hikaru harder. He didn’t know if he had a chance but he had to try…
He fixed breakfast and tapped her shoulder, “Rory…I thought you might be hungry…”
He was rewarded with that smile, “I am…thank you…”
Their table was bathed in sunlight and it was welcoming them…

They had been together two years, their careers were stressful but they understood that and somehow managed to make it through.
We started 2 years ago, just like in this season

He remembered how fast his heart would beat when their first date, it still beat fast when they were together. It was a comfortable nervousness now…he thought it was a very good thing that he still worked so hard to make sure she was happy. He loved to see her smile…
As the day for our date comes closer, my heart began to throb

Nakamaru had tried very hard to think up a date worthy of Rory; something that would put him in a different league then Massu, who adored Rory or Hikaru who seemed to worship her. He'd planned this weekend date completely; they were spending the night at a famous hot spring during off season and then they were hiking. It was a scenic park near the hot spring that had a great view from the nearby mountain. He had all the supplies to spend a few days camping; he was sure it was different from the others. Massu liked taking her shopping, to the movies and to nice restaurants. He wanted to do something different.
She agreed to go with him and he'd driven her there...
Rory was been excited...it had been her first visit to a hot spring....
They soaked for a while and met up for dinner; they had house special sushi and gyoza. Rory ate more then he had ever seen her eat before...
Nakamaru walked her to her door, he was a gentleman and he didn't expect her to share a room or a bed with him. He kissed her hand and let her go in to sleep, promising to wake her early so they could get an early start.

It was barely dawn when they left, the hike was breath-taking, the park was walking up...
Rory ran around taking pictures to show the girls, Nakamaru watched grinning, she was enjoying herself...
He waited until she said she was hungry before he tugged out a collapsable fishing pole, he baited the hook and caught a fish. He set up a fire pit and a spit, he skinned the fish and cooked it. He placed foiled potatos in the ashes after a while, Rory seemed to enjoy watching him....
Soon food was ready and they started to eat...
Rory grinned, "It's good..."
Nakamaru hid a blush, "I'm glad..." he had tried to get ideas from Melissa, who was his second favorite in JANE about Rory's favorite things to eat. She was turning out to be quite a fine song writer. He lifted a pot near the fire and grabbed a tin cup, he poured some coffee into it, "Here...I know how much you like coffee..."

Rory's eyes widen and a grin crosses her face, "Maru...I was craving coffee..." seriously, she treated coffee as a food group...

Their first kiss was the second night, there was a shooting star, he'd turned to her and as asked softly if he could kiss her.
She smiled, "If you like..." Nakamaru was one of her favorites, it wouldn't be bad to kiss him right?

She wanted to see Gantz, he'd bought opening tickets to the first showing at midnight, Nakamaru gave them to her for her birthday. She'd glomped him and grinned, "Maru...thank you...thank you...."
Now it was the night off and she had fallen asleep in his arms waiting for the theatre to let them in. He woke her, bought coffees and they found seats in the middle of the fifth row which were usually the best seats.
I'm nervous at our first movie date, we sit hand-in-hand
Rory was still tired and ended up falling asleep with her head on his shoulder.
Nakamaru smiled, "Well...it was the thought that counted right..."
Closing your eyes, you lean on my shoulder, your cuteness is doubled
It was the anniverary of their first date, they spent the night at the same hot spring...
They hiked early and Nakamaru proposed as the sun rose...
Rory was speechless and then hugged him, "Yes..."
