ugh. UGH.

Food is the hardest part about leaving NYC.

I have been remiss in hanging out with you. I am going to get out of my shyness and ask if you'd like to hang out, possibly find some awesome food?

CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE TO FIND THIS UNLIMITED SUSHI???

Do you eat meat? Have you been to Feed? Good and cheap! Sushi Para II is on Clark, I think a block or so south of Fullerton. $16.95 unlimited sushi, but on weekends it's a little cheaper, I think. We should hang out this weekend or something!

yes to this weekend!!

yes to eating meat! there's almost nothing I don't eat.

So that sushi place is in... lincoln park?? I didn't know anything cheap existed in lincoln park. Do they make you eat all the rice too to fill you up? When I get sushi all I want are the big hulking pieces of raw fish. sashimi. If they don't have that I'll just push mos of the rice to the side.

I haven't been to Feed. I haven't done much foodie stuff-- I went to Hachi's kitchen and loved it. What I really miss from Brooklyn are the specialty food shops== the Sahadi's, the Bierkrafts, etc. Do they have those here?

Hello random Allison friend,

Sushi Para II you have to eat everything or you have to pay per piece for the cost of the stuff you don't eat. It's $16.99 all you can eat at peak times and $12.99 during lunch. It's really awesome and even though I don't personally eat fish, everyone says that the fish is really fresh and good. Oh yeah, also included are unlimited appetizers like chicken yakitori, the best tempura vegetables, etc., Ya rly.

Yeah, it's on Clark right across from where the Tower Records used to be. House of Sushi and Noodles has an AYCE sushi too, but it's $12.99 (i believe) and not as good.

Feed = kind of a longish wait, but chicken and 2 sides for under $7? Southerny comfort food for cheap? Yes! I am pretty much the same as you on the sushi tip, but you can order the regular nigiri sushi. Thing is that they charge you if you don't finish! I have had really good sashimi at Takahachi near downtown-ish and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I'll have to see exactly where that is. But yes! Foods!

Oh, have you been to Kuma's Corner? Ridiculous burgers named after metal bands! It's great and the service is really good, too.

There are some specialty shops, like cheese shops and that, but most of them seem to be on the north side, Lincoln Park-ish. Provenance in Logan Square is a nice place for wine and cheese and fancy things. And there's Goose Island for the beer-tasting, but I've never gone! I'm always on the lookout for specialty places like that, though. I always loved finding stuff like that in Brooklyn or little bits of Manhattan.
