i've been thinking for a long time about maybe having a minor in psychology on my degree, seeing how I'll be here 4 years for an associates, but this college being the awesome place that it is, doesn't offer minors. So I talked to my Death and Dying professor who has an MSW (masters in social work concentrated in psychology), and she told me to definatly look into it and to look at Albany, Buffalo, or SU. I have a brochure from SU and am going to call them tomorrow and see if I can take some psych classes over winter break, because that will add to the classes I've already taken. I have 3 A's and a B this semester, and if I keep this up I'm more than positive I can get into SU. I want to go after I graduate part time so I can earn my BSW (It really shouldn't take me more than a year considering I'll have more than half the courses required and have already been in school 4 years), then it takes only a year to earn your masters in social work. So I will have my cos. for a fall back if I get to a point where I have nothing, I'll have my degree in massage and can go a million different places with that alone, and I really want this to work out so I can go to school and earn a really good degree in social work/psychology. I love the psych classes I've taken and I'm really excited to take social psychology and abnormal psychology next semester.
I think I finally have my life figured out right now. I really never had a plan like everyone else seemed to, but I've finally found my niche and know what makes me happy and what I enjoy doing! Awesome!!
